About Claudia

I am here to connect with creatives who work in both lens based and traditional practices seeking guidance on reaching their professional goals.

Claudia Grimaldi Marks is a creative producer and executive producer with over 25 years of experience across luxury editorial, documentary film, and the business of supporting artists. Her career spans senior roles at Martha Stewart Living, Interview Magazine, and Parade, directing high-end fashion productions alongside photographers including Karl Lagerfeld, Herb Ritts, and Bruce Weber. As Senior Manager of Creative Strategy and Creator Programs at Getty Images, she administered over $1.6 million in grants to photographers and filmmakers and built the Creative Accelerator Program, mentoring more than 200 emerging creators. A BFA graduate of Parsons School of Design and a lifelong New Yorker, Claudia brings both the industry fluency and the human investment that artists at any stage actually need.

What a session looks like

Every mentor runs their sessions a little differently, but most conversations follow a structure like this.

First 5 min
Creative direction
You'll talk about your current style, interests, and where you want to take your photography.
Next 10 min
Portfolio critique
Your mentor will review your work and give detailed feedback on composition, storytelling, editing, and how your portfolio communicates your vision.
Next 10 min
Career insight
You may discuss editorial work, working with magazines, building relationships with stylists and models, and developing strong personal projects.
Last 5 min
Clarifying direction
You'll use the final part of the session to reflect on the discussion and clarify a few areas you may want to focus on next.

TalentED FAQ

How does payment work?
Your card is authorised at checkout but not charged until the mentor confirms your session. If they decline or don't respond, the hold is released automatically and you're never billed.
When will my session be confirmed?
Mentors typically confirm within 24–48 hours. You'll receive an email the moment your booking is approved, along with the session link or location details.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can cancel or reschedule from your bookings dashboard up to 24 hours before a session. You aren't charged until your mentor accepts your first session. After that, a cancelled session goes back to your order to book again. There are no automatic refunds; for credit, reach out to support@talented.nyc.
How do sessions take place?
Sessions are either video (via Zoom) or in-person, depending on the mentor's availability settings. The format is shown when you select a time slot.
Is my information secure?
